About the Happy Dad
My name is Andrew, and I’m an independent graphic designer with over 10 years of experience. Outside of work, I’m a proud husband and dad to the coolest kid I know. I’m also a pet dad to two great dogs, two wonderful cats, and a tortoise named Ted. When I’m not designing, you’ll often find me out on the water. I discovered stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) a few years ago through a friend and have been hooked ever since.
Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to specialize in a wide variety of formats, including:
-
Apparel design
-
Business marketing materials like flyers, postcards, door hangers, and business cards
-
Party materials such as invitations, insert cards, welcome signs, party signs, favors, and custom printables
-
Business proposal formatting
-
Packaging design
-
Decals
-
Branding and logo design
Honestly, I’m always excited to tackle any creative project that comes my way. I take pride in creating unique designs and offering personalized service to every client. Unlike large agencies, I bring a personal touch to every project, ensuring your designs not only look great but also serve their intended purpose.
If you’re looking for a passionate designer with an eye for detail, let’s connect! I’d love to help bring your ideas to life.
The Original Happy Dad
In loving memory of my dad, Lee—known to many as Pappy, and by countless other nicknames to family and friends. He was the kind of person who was always happy, no matter what. He’s part of the inspiration behind the name of my company. Anyone who met him would tell you he was always smiling and trying to brighten someone’s day.
My dad encouraged my creative side early on, introducing me to all kinds of design software. Some of my earliest memories involve making birthday banners on an old PrintMaster program, back in the days of floppy disks and perforated printer paper with tabs on the sides.
Starting this business was something we talked about often. I’d throw ideas his way, and he was always a great sounding board—even when he didn’t fully understand what I was talking about. His unwavering encouragement meant the world to me.
Cheers to The Original Happy Dad.
